Boboye reveals how Abia Warriors beat Heartland

Abia Warriors coach, Kennedy Boboye has revealed the secret to his sides 1-0 victory over rivals Heartland.

Kennedy Boboye who described the game as a difficult one, was happy his team won in the end.

“It was not an easy one. Towards the end of the game Heartland tried to equalize,” he said.

The former Sunshine Stars of Akure coach gave hints to what kept his side in the game till the end even when Heartland unleashed their arsenals at them

“I told my players that this game would be like a cup final for us and we needed to win it. Next up, we go to Port Harcourt to play Enyimba and then Kano for Pillars. That’s how important this game was for us,” Boboye said.

“It’s not too late for us to win the league or at least qualify to play on the continent so we are still hopeful.”
