Thompson beats Curry in NBA three-point contest

Saturday’s three-Point Contest was just another reminder of why the Golden State Warriors are just unfair right now.

Klay Thompson won his first ever NBA three-point contest by beating his teammate Stephen Curry 25-23 in the final round.

Thompson, who will play in his second NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, scored 22 in the first round and a record-tying 27 in the second round.

Curry’s three-point percentage of 45.4 per cent in the regular season is higher than his team-mate’s 42%.

The 27-year-old sunk five consecutive shots from a central rack, but it was Thompson who emerged victorious.
