The Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Football Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Bamako of Mali in the first leg of the preliminary CAF Champions league game on Sunday.
The Nigeria Professional Football League runners-up who had been bad travelers in the Nigerian league and playing at the continental stage showed no signs of jitteriness as the went ahead at Stade Modibo Kéïta, Bamako.
Akinyemi Nojeem put the visitors in front in the 15th minute of the encounter with a fine finish but their lead was shortlived as the home team pulled back through Camara three minutes after MFM FC took the lead.
MFM FC will take an important away goal with them when they host the Malians at the Soccer Temple on the 21st of February by 4 pm.
Awaiting MFM FC in the next round if they pull through is the winner of the ties involving AS Otôho and MC Alger.
