Nigeria’s Super Eagles have landed in Russia ahead of their sixth appearance at the World Cup.
The Eagles chartered flight from Austria was delayed and they only landed about 9pm Nig time at the Mirealnye Vody Airport, about an hour after they were originally expected to touch down.
They were dressed in their white and immaculate traditional uniforms from SouthSouth Nigeria.
At the hotel they were received by the city’s mayor and sports minister and a traditional dance was staged in their honour with Bryan Idowu gave the Eagles vote of thanks in Russian.
They are now scheduled to have their first training in Russia tomorrow by 4pm local time at the Essentuki Arena.
