Erik Lamela has followed fellow Tottenham forward Son Heung-min in signing a new contract, committing his future to the club to 2022.
The Argentina international has suffered deeply with injuries over the past few seasons.
But after missing more than a year with a hip problem he returned to the Spurs team for the second half of 2017-18, making 22 Premier League appearances as Mauricio Pochettino’s men took third place between Manchester City and United.
Now he has extended his stay at White Hart Lane for four more years after putting pen to paper on a fresh deal on Friday.
“We are delighted to announce that Erik Lamela has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2022,” Tottenham signalled on the club’s official website.
