Nigeria Super League returns as ‘President Cup’ as NHF fixes date for 2018 Edition

The Nigeria Hockey Federation has fixed date for the 2018 Nigeria Super League.

August 25th to September 1st has been fixed by the Nigeria Hockey Federation as the dates for the 2018 Nigeria Super League which will now be called ‘The Presidents’ Cup’.

Niger Flickers who have won the title in the men’s category in the last three consecutive seasons will be looking to make it four straight titles.

But standing in their way will be 7 other teams comprising of Union Bank of Lagos, Police Machine, Kada Stars, Yobe Desert Roller, IGP, and the 2017 championship winners and runners up Delta Force and Nasarawa.

In the women’s category, defending champions Kada Queens will battle 7 other teams comprising of Yobe Desert Queens, Heartland Flickers, Benue Babes, Plateau Queens, River Angels, Delta Force and Bauchi to retain their title.

As customary, the winners and runners up in both categories will earn tickets to represent the Nigeria at the Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) 2018, later this year.

The competition will be played at the Abuja National Stadium Complex Package B.
