Villarreal 2 Real Betis 1: Samuel Chukwueze on target as Yellow Submarines secure first La Liga home win of the season

It is going as planned for former junior International Samuel Chukwueze who was again on target for the Yellow Submarines days after representing the Super Eagles in his first senior international game.

After putting in a good shift in Nigeria’s goalless draw against the Cranes of Uganda in an international friendly at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday, Samuel Chukwueze capped the week with a goal.

The Yellow Submarines who have won two league games with none coming at their home stadium were out to end the home winless run when Real Betis came visiting.

Former Arsenal icon, Santi Cazorla set Gerard Moreno up for Villarreal’s first goal in the 52nd minute of the game.

Again Santi Cazorla after twisting and turning set Samuel Chukwueze up for his goal just 2 minutes after Gerard Moreno’s goal.

Samuel Chukwueze fired a low shot with his left foot for his second league goal in three matches.

Former PSG midfielder Giovani Lo Celso scored a consolation goal for the visiting team as Villarreal hung on to their third win of the 2018-19 La Liga season and their first home win.

Samuel Chukwueze now has two goals in his last two league games.
