Super Eagles defender Ola Aina scored the winner as Torino secured a 1-0 win against William Troost-Ekong’s Udinese in an Italian Serie A game at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday.
Ola Aina on-loan from Chelsea has become an integral part of Walter Mazzari’s side since joining the club in the summer. Aina continued to repay the faith trusted in him by the former Inter boss with another top class display against Udinese.
After playing a goalless draw in their last game against SPAL a win would do Torino’s push for a place in the Europa League spot a great advantage and they duly delivered thanks to Aina’s goal.
The only goal of the game was scored by Nigeria’s Ola Aina, incidentally, the goal is ‘Lulu’s’ first goal in Torino’s colour.
Ola Aina scored the goal in the 31st minute after heading home Cristian Ansaldi’s cross.
While William Troost-Ekong was on for the entire duration of the game Aina was substituted in the 94th minute for Lorenzo De Silvestri.
