Abidjan born midfielder Olabiran Blessing Muyiwa who turned down the opportunity of representing his country of birth is looking forward to the challenge of securing a place in Nigeria U23 squad.
The Russia-based player who linked up with Nigeria’s U23 team in Abuja yesterday said he is aware of the abundant talent Nigeria possess but he is ready to utilize the opportunity presented to him to fight for his spot.
The FC Tambov midfielder revealed that his confidence has been boosted by the invitation and he is super ready for the challenge ahead of him.
“It is a great opportunity because Nigeria have many young players doing very well at the moment, said Muyiwa.
“This has boosted my confidence and at the same time, I know this is a big challenge for me.
“It is a challenge and I am ready for it.”
Olabiran Blessing Muyiwa joined the U23s training camp in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon as Nigeria U23 prepare for their AFCON qualifier against Libya.
