Super Falcons of Nigeria will on Thursday face arch-rivals Black Queens of Ghana for a place at the WAFU Women’s Cup final.
Nine-time African champions Nigeria reached the semi-finals after they beat Mali 2-0 Tuesday in Abidjan.
Tuesday’s results mean Nigeria finished as Group B winners and they will face Ghana, who ended as group A runners-up in the semi-final on Thursday.
On the other hand, Group B runners-up Mali will take on the hosts Cote d’Ivoire in a repeat of last year semi-final showdown on the same day at Parc de Sport.
Thursday’s clash will be the second straight time both teams will clash in the semi-finals of this competition.
