Flying Eagles star Henry Offia has promised that he and his teammates will do everything possible to give Nigerians a memorable FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign.
Henry Offia who was amongst the goal scorers as Nigeria started off with an easy 4-0 win against Qatar in their opening game told Sportsration.com how elated he was to make the team and also be on the scorers sheet.
“First of, I am very happy and grateful to coach Paul Aigbogun and his staff for picking me in the final squad without their selection I wouldn’t have the chance to score a goal.
“Scoring the goal was really awesome for me and it is something that will remain with me forever,” Henry told SportsRation.
Nothing could be more memorable to Nigerians than winning the trophy having watched the team lost in the final in 1989, and most recently in 2005 to Lionel Messi-led Argentine side.
Although, the IK Sirius of Sweden star is not promising the trophy, he is confident he and his teammates will do their best in Poland.
“We know this is just the first game and we still have more games to win before dreaming of the trophy.
“We are not getting ahead of ourselves, we will take it one game at a time; one thing I can promise Nigerians is a memorable outing by God’s grace.”
Henry Offia has now scored three goals in five games he has played for the Flying Eagles in all competitions.
