Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been named the man of the match of the AFCON clash between Nigeria and Burundi.
The Leicester City star was selected ahead of Udinese’s Ola Aina whose filthy pass assisted Odion Ighalo goal.
Odion Ighalo who also scored the winning goal just four minutes after his introduction was also neglected.
Wilfred Ndidi who played in front of Eagles back four was the winner of the award because of his role in the victory against the debutants.
Wilfred Ndidi was in his usual self against Burundi blocking and intercepting passes, his well-timed tackles and ball recoveries were key factor to Eagles dominating the midfield and securing a win against the stubborn Buridians.
