Roma star Radja Nainggolan talks about Chelsea transfer links

Belgium international Radja Nainggolan insists he’s happy at Roma and has ruled out a move to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old was a target for Chelsea last summer and Antonio Conte was desperate to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The box-to-box midfielder resisted the Blues’ offer and opted to stay in the Italian capital, where he’s had another fine season under Luciano Spalletti.

Chelsea had been expected to re-enter the race for Nainggolan again this summer but he insists he wants to stay in Serie A and would reject a move to England.

‘I’m happy in Rome, the weather is usually good and my family are fine here,’ said Nainggolan.

‘Sometimes you make choices for money, other times it’s for quality of life, which is important for me. Also if I went to England I’d have to start from scratch and I’m very happy at Roma.

‘China? Not now, but you can never rule anything out. I’d have to see at the time.’
