CAFCC: Fans to watch Akwa United, Al-Hilal match for free

His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has ordered that gate fee should not be taken on Wednesday when Akwa United host Al-Hilal of Sudan in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup playoffs match.
Governor Udom Emmanuel said the gesture is to ensure the Promise Keepers enjoy massive support from their fans and other lovers of football in the state during the crucial match.

Akwa United will be aiming to qualify to the group phase of the competition for the first time in their history but they have to overturn a 2-0 deficit against the Sudanese club on Wednesday at the magnificent Goodwill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The 2017 Aiteo Cup Champions will be motivated by the support of 30,000 vocal fans expected to watch the game at the Nest of Champions and a win by three clear goals will see the Uyo based side progress to the group stage of the competition.
