Casa Pia’s Godwin Saviour, & Rivers United Ebube Duru get late Super Eagles call-ups

Casa Pia attacker Godwin Saviour and Rivers United defender Ebube Duru have been given late Super Eagles call-ups for the Algeria clash.

They are among the five late call-ups, for players who were originally given an invitation, but would not be able to make the trip due to various reasons.

Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze, Leon Balogun and Henry Onyekuru have been ruled out due to injuries and four players have been called to replace them.

Valentine Ozornwafor, Godwin Saviour, Ebube Duru, and Emmanuel Dennis are the players who have been called up as late replacements.

Godwin Saviour who recently lifted Casa Pia to the Portugues top-flight league will be hoping to impress if given a debut start.

The 26-year-old has scored 2 goals in 7 league goals for the newly promoted Casa Pia in the Portugues topflight league.

Godwin Saviour who has represented Nigeria at the U-17 in 2013, and U-20 in 2015 will be seeing familiar faces like Taiwo Awoniyi, and Kelechi Iheanacho at the Eagles camp.

Rivers United defender Ebube Duru will also be hoping for game time. The versatile left-back recently won the Nigerian Professional Football League and is on the verge of playing in the Caf Champions League.

The international friendly match between Nigeria and Algeria will take place at the 40,000 Stade Olympique in Oran on Tuesday, 27th September.
