Edidiong Umofia wins Bronze for Team Nigeria at the Commonwealth games.

Edidiong Umoafia has added a Bronze to Nigeria’s medal haul at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham , United Kingdom.

Edidiong claimed the Bronze medal on Sunday morning in the Weightlifting event  .

He lifted 130kg in the snatch, 160kg in the Clean and Jerk with a total of 290kg.

Edidiong , a discovery from youth games in his native Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria now brings to two, Team Nigeria’s medal haul at the ongoing Commonwealth games.

In the Tennis event, Team Nigeria has reached the Semi Final and are on course for a podium finish at the Commonwealth games.
