Eucharia Iyiazi sets new CWG record to claim Gold in women’s F55-57 Shot Put, Ugochi Alam claims Bronze

Eucharia Iyiazi sets a new Commonwealth Games record in the women’s F55-57 shotput to win Nigeria’s 8th gold at the 2022 event in Birmingham.

Iyiazi three the games record 10.03m to win the gold medal. Ugochi Alam also did enough to claim a bronze medal for a 1, and 3 podium places for Nigeria.

Ugochi Alam on her part three 9.30m to finish third.

These medals increase the total hauls to 18 medals – 8 golds, 3 silvers, 7 bronzes.

12. Bose Omolayo – 🥈 women’s Heavyweight Powerlifting
13. Ikechukwu Obichukwu – 🥈medal in men’s Heavyweight Powerlifting
