Fati returns from 10-month injury with a bang, named MoM in 15 min cameo

Speaks on what he needs to do going forward

Barcelona star Ansu Fati has scored in his first ever game since injuring his knees back in November, 2020.

The 18-year-old came from the bench to help the struggling Catalan giants secure a comfortable 3-0 win against Levante on Sunday.

Memphis Depay gave the hosts the lead from the spot kick, his compatriot Luuk De Jong made it two for Barcelona before half time.

Barcelona continued from where they stopped in the second half and could have scored as many as five goals but Aitor in goal for Levante denied the hosts.

With 15 minutes to the end of the game, Ansu Fati was subbed on to the cheering home fans.

The new Barcelona no 10 scored with just two minutes left on the clock to secure a convincing 3-0 win for his side.

Fati after the game said he would do everything to help his team and work his way back into the starting XI.

“I couldn’t imagine this. I am one more player in the group now.

“I will try to help the team whenever they need me. Now, we’ll see how I feel, but it’s clear, I’ll have to win the minutes to become a starter.”

Despite playing for just 15 minute, Ansu Fati was named the King of the match in recognition of his effort in the win.
