FIFA U-20 World Cup: Chris Danjuma speaks ahead of Nigeria v South Korea clash

The coach of the Nigeria U-20 female team, Chris Danjuma has spoken ahead of his side’s clash with the South Korean U-20 side.

A win for either Nigeria or South Korea will secure a place in the next round after both teams won their first group games 1-0 against France and 2-0 against Canada respectively.

And coach Danjuma is aware of what is at stake and what his side must do to book a place in the next round.

“When you win your first match it gives you courage and strength to want to approach the second game with a little bit of caution because you know if you win crossing the group is good as done.

“We are all geared up to make sure we win against South Korea.

“People underestimate the skills and speed of the Europeans, go and watch France again you will see that they have skills and speed.

“What we are trying to do in this competition is to snuff you out and impose our style of play.

“We want to raise the joy level of everyone again and by the grace of God we will come out victorious,” he said.

The match will be played at 9 pm Nigerian time at the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto. A win for Nigeria is enough to book a place in the next round with one game to spare – the Wednesday clash with Canada.
