Barcelona €55m last summer signing from Valencia Andre Gomes has come under heavy criticism by football fans for his below average performance in Portugal’s 1-1 draw against Mexico in their Confederations Cup opener in Russia on Sunday.
The 23-year-old started in the midfield for the European Champions but didn’t justify his inclusion as he endured a poor evening.
Although the Barcelona man was on the pitch for the entire duration of the match he was a shadow of himself and it was just a continuation of his poor display even for the Catalan giants that has led to him being transfer listed.
