NBA Round Up: Hawks continue fine form, LeBron leads Cavs

The Atlanta Hawks made it seven wins in their past eight games with a 121-115 victory over the Houston Rockets in the NBA on Tuesday.

Al Horford (30 points and 14 rebounds) and Paul Millsap (22 and 13) led the Hawks to their win as they improved to 21-13.

Kent Bazemore (26 points) and Jeff Teague (22) were also strong contributors, with a 35-23 fourth quarter crucial to the Hawks’ win.

Dwight Howard had 30 points and 16 rebounds for the Rockets, while James Harden finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds but went six-of-16 from the field.

LeBron James’ 34 points saw the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 93-87 win over the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.

Iman Shumpert contributed 16 points off the bench for the Cavs, who outscored the Nuggets 53-42 in the first half.

The New York Knicks ended their four-game losing streak with a 108-96 win against the Detroit Pistons at Madison Square Garden.

Carmelo Anthony had a game-high 24 points for the Knicks.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combined for 53 points to see the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Milwaukee Bucks 131-123, and Marc Gasol (23 points) helped the Memphis Grizzlies to a 99-90 overtime win against the Miami Heat.
