Heartbreaking Loss for Enyimba and Kanu Nwankwo’s Former Team
Enyimba FC suffered a tough 3-0 defeat to the Black Bulls Maputo in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, leaving them with just one point from their first three matches. The loss places Enyimba at the bottom of Group D.
The Black Bulls, who claimed their first win of the tournament, were led by Nigerian players Rume Akporoh and Francis Ayuba. Akporoh scored the first goal with a strong header, and Ayuba sealed the victory in the second half after Fidel De Sousa had doubled the lead just before the 60-minute mark.
Enyimba’s Struggles Continue
This defeat means Enyimba has now lost two out of their three CAFCC matches. Their only point came from a draw against Zamalek. The team has now gone seven matches without a win across all competitions, which is causing concern among fans and team officials.
The Black Bulls’ victory puts them in third place in the group, alongside Zamalek and Al Masry, with four points each, though they are separated by goal difference.
Enyimba faces an uphill battle as they try to turn their form around in upcoming matches.
