Iheanacho’s brace sends Leicester to FA 4th round

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored a goal either half to help Leicester beat Fleetwood 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

Iheanacho scored in the 43rd and 72nd minute in to lead Leicester City into the next round of the English FA Cup.

Kelechi Iheanacho ensured there would be no extra time or penalty as his goals during the third round replay settled the encounter on Tuesday.

Kelechi Iheanacho put his side up in the first half after controlling a pass from Islam Slimani with the outside of his foot before putting the ball in between the goalkeeper.

He scored another goal in the second half after finishing off a good team play but was ruled out for offside, few minutes after the disallowed goal Iheanacho scored another goal off a good pass from Mahrez but was again ruled out for offside.

The referee who thought the ball should have stood consulted the Video Asistant Referee who revealed that the Iheanacho was on and that the goal should stay.

Referee John Moss who already disallowed the goal based on the lines man judgement counted the goal.

Making him the first player to be awarded a goal in English football with the help of the Video Asistant Referee
