EXCLUSIVE: Kelvin Itoya wasn’t worried about goal drought but excited to help Rangers end win-less run

Kelvin Itoya has told Sportsration.com that he wasn’t worried about his goal drought even though he scored in Rangers 3-0 home win against Wikki Tourists, but he was excited his club returned to winning ways.

Kelvin Itoya scored via free-kick from the edge of the box for Rangers’ third, his goal brought the Flying Antelopes fans to their feet and restored the frenzy that was missing at the Cathedral following goalless home draws against Kwara United and MFM FC in the last two home games.

Before his goal against Wikki Tourists on Sunday, Kelvin had played a couple of games for Rangers without finding the back of the net but he told Sportsration.com that he wasn’t bothered about his goal drought even though he was delighted to find the back of the net.

“It was a great feeling to have scored my third goal of the season after a while and most importantly returning to winning ways after two barren draws at home. My major concern was how the team will keep winning thereby taking us to the top.”

Kelvin Itoya promised to keep working hard as he believes there is a great room for him to improve on himself and be a better player.

“I think I have played my part in every opportunity I have been given this season but I also think there is room for improvement. So I will keep working hard to ensure that I contribute my quota anytime I am called upon to put on the Rangers jersey.”
