Liverpool send Taiwo Awoniyi on loan to his 6th club since joining PL champions in 2015

Premier League champions Liverpool have sent Taiwo Awoniyi to his 6th since joining them in 2015 after the Nigerian forward was shipped to a German top flight club FC Union Berlin.

The 23-year-old striker would spend the rest of 2020-21 on loan at FC Union Berlin both clubs have confirmed this but sadly this is just the 6th club he is going on loan.

Taiwo Awoniyi joined Liverpool in 2015 after impressing at the 2015 FIFA U-17 world cup and since then he has been on the road.

Despite renewing his contract last year, he is still not in Jurgen Klopp’s plan maybe due to work permit or other reasons.

But he has now completed his loan move to FC Union Berlin his 6th club where he would continue his development.

“I’m looking forward to a new home and the task at 1. FC Union Berlin. Mainz was my second stop in Germany after Frankfurt and last year I was able to prove myself in the Bundesliga for the first time.

“At Union, I want to take the next steps, play as much as possible, develop and help the team to stay in the league,” Awoniyi told the club’s website.

Taiwo Awoniyi has now played on loan at FSV Frankfurt in the 2015-16 season, NEC in 2016-17 season, Royal Excel Mouscron in 2017-18 season, Gent in 2018-19 but left for Royal Excel Mouscron in January 2019, Mainz in 2019-20 now FC Union Berlin.
