Liverpool signs Thiago, turn focus on Sarr and Jota

Liverpool have completed the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich on a deal worth £25m.

The Premier League champions completed the signing of the Spanish International today after he put pen to papar to sign a four-year deal.

Alcantara who was linked to Manchester United and Barcelona explained why Liverpool are the right club for him.

“Because at the end, when the years are passing, you are trying to win as much as you can – and when you win, you want to win more.

“I think this club describes what I am as well; I want to achieve all of the goals, win as many trophies as possible.

“It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well.”

Thiago Alcantara has been given the number 6 jersey vacated by Dejan Lovren.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been reportedly linked to two more signings.

According to reports, they are interested in Watford’s Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr and Wolverhampton Wanderers Diogo Jota.

The reports claim they have made an official enquiry about Diogo Jota while they haven’t done anything regarding Ismaila Sarr.
