NBAPlayoffs Round Up: Spurs level Rockets series, James helps Cavs into 2-0 lead

The San Antonio Spurs drew level in the NBA playoffs as the Cleveland Cavaliers rolled into a 2-0 series lead.

The Spurs needed a response against the Houston Rockets and they got it in the form of a 121-96 win on Wednesday.

Kawhi Leonard starred with 34 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Spurs levelled the Western Conference semi-final series at 1-1.

San Antonio had suffered a 27-point loss in game one but bounced back, outscoring the Rockets 33-13 in the fourth quarter.

The win may have come at a cost though, with Tony Parker (18 points) suffering a knee injury.

Leonard went at an impressive 13-of-16 from the field, including three-of-four from three-point range.

In contrast, Rockets star James Harden was three-of-17 as he finished with 13 points and 10 assists.

Game three is in Houston on Friday.

The Cavs are having fewer problems against the Toronto Raptors, going 2-0 up with a 125-103 win.

LeBron James moved into second on the NBA’s all-time postseason scoring list thanks to his 39 points, while he also had six rebounds and four assists.

Kyrie Irving had a double-double of 22 points and 11 assists as the Cavs cruised.

Jonas Valanciunas (23 points) and Cory Joseph (22) tried hard off the bench but the Raptors were no match for a Cavs team which hit 18 three-pointers.
