NPFL returns with live broadcast in Matchday 19 as Akwa United take on Sunshine Stars

Matchday 19 of the 2020/21 season in the NPFL is set to take place this week, as the league reaches its midway point. Enyimba are missing in action as they take on ES Setif on Sunday in their CAF Confederation Cup group stage match which will be aired on the NPFL.tv app from 2pm.

On Saturday, Akwa United and Sunshine Stars face off at the Soccer Temple in Agege, the Akure Gunners temporary home after they were banished from their home ground. The game is set to commence at 4pm. Akwa United will go top with a win.

On Sunday, MFM FC host FC Ifeanyi Ubah at their home, the Soccer Temple as they look to distance themselves from the relegation zone with a win at home.

Lobi Stars host Jigawa Golden Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi looking to pick up all three points from the encounter.

Dakkada FC host Rivers United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo looking for a win that would take them closer to the continental places in the league.

Kwara United welcome Nasarawa United to the Kwara State Sports complex as they look to extend their lead at the top of the table with another three points at home.

Wikki Tourists welcome relegation-threatened Katsina United to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi as they look to further plunge the Changi Boys into relegation troubles.

Kano Pillars host Warri Wolves at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna looking to pick up three points against a side that has struggled in this season’s NPFL.

On Monday, Abia Warriors welcome Plateau United to the Okigwe Township Stadium as they look to pick up a win and bounce back from their loss last time out. The game will be aired live on NTA and the NPFL.tv app from 2pm.

Heartland face bottom of the table Adamawa United at the Okigwe Township Stadium. The game will be aired live on NTA and the NPFL.tv app from 4pm.

Enyimba’s fixture away at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu against Rangers in an Oriental derby has been shifted to Wednesday April 7th due to their continental commitment.
