Oliseh: I was sacked because of my refusal to participate in Illegal activities
Sacked former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has rejected claims by his former employers Fortuna Sittard that he was sacked due to his bad relationship with the club management and players.
The former Super Eagles captain was booted out by the Dutch second division club in a statement released by the clubs hierarchy early today but Oliseh has taken to his twitter handle to reveal the reason behind his sack.
Oliseh revealed that he was sacked because of his failure to participate in an illegal activities and violate the rules of the law.
“I confirm. Due to my refusal to participate in Illegal activities at Fortuna sittard and violate the Law, I have been Suspended from my duties as Coach by the Foreign Owners of Fortuna.
“Unfortunate for the lovely fans, my players & our hard fought phenomenal positioning for Promotion,” he wrote on his official twitter handle.
In 27 games played under Sunday Oliseh, Fortuna Sittard have won 16, drawn 2 and lost 9, 4 of the 9 loses came in their last 4 games. They are currently 3rd on the log 5 points from the top teams NEC and Ajax II who both have 49.
