Oyedele Adebayo Delighted With First Professional Goal

Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) Striker, Oyedele Adebayo says he is very happy with his first professional goal of his career in the game against Holy Arrows FC.

Oyedele Adebayo scored a beautiful header from Yusuf Ibrahim’s cross in the 49 minute of the encounter in Match day four (4) of the Nigeria National League (NNL) game at the Ole Township Stadium in Delta State.

Speaking with RSFC Media, he says he is not only very happy with his goal but also with the way the team played away from home.

“I feel very happy with my first professional goal not only that but also with the way the team played to get the maximum victory away from home. We played well, and I am also happy we didn’t lose focus after the goal.”

“I thank the Coach for putting his trust in me to start the game, it wasn’t easy for a boy like me that starting my first league match, in all I did my best to get the goal.”

“I was not tensed when I heard I would be starting the game, the first thing that came to my mind was that I will make sure the team get a win and at least I will get a goal, and I am happy the team got a win and super proud I got the goal.”

“We (Team) will continue to keep our heads above the water and never lose focus. The fact that we got a win away from home doesn’t mean we should get carried away. Our next game is against a big rival (Gateway United) at home and need to remain focused to deliver because a lot of people are expecting us to do more, playing against them won’t be easy, but we must deliver.”

“My target is to at least always get a goal per game, that has been my target right from start and that will continue to be my target.”
