Pinnick reveals plans on how Rohr will add home based players to Eagles

The President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has revealed plans on how home based players would be added to the Super Eagles.

This is contrary to the statement made by the head coach Gernot Rohr who claimed the home based players aren’t good enough for the national team.

“Because they are not good enough and because I have better ones. There are so many good players in Europe,” Rohr was quoted to have told Mannheimer Morgen.

“I have invited more than 20 local players since 2016. If they are good, sooner or later they’ll all end up in Europe.”

But contrary to Gernot Rohr’s claims, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that there is a place and that home based players would be added into the main team.

“The players here they are not playing once they start playing definitely he would look inwards,” said Pinnick about Rohr giving chance to the local players.

“He is going to be staying here moving forward and going round the country in ensuring that he picks some of the best legs that we have and incorporate them into the team we have that one is certain.”
