Rayo Vallecano 2 Villarreal 2: Samuel Chukwueze sends warning shot to Bafana Bafana with a strike
Newly invited Super Eagles player, Samuel Chukwueze, has fired a warning shot to Bafana Bafana of South Africa ahead of their clash against Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers this weekend.
The 19-year-old former Flying Eagles winger scored in Villarreal’s 2-2 draw at Rayo Vallecano on Sunday to pile pressure on the South Africans.
Samuel Chukwueze who was playing in his second La Liga game, marked his start with a brilliant goal. Samuel Chukwueze received a ball, cut inside beyond four Vallecano players before firing past Rayo Vallecano goalie.
Just before the half time, 12 minutes after Samuel Chukwueze’s strike, the hosts came back with a roar as Raul De Tomas scored the equalizer.
Alvaro Garcia increased the home team’s tally in the 66th minutes before Nicola Sansone equalized for Villarreal.
Samuel Chukwueze who was on the pitch for the entire duration of the match will be hoping to continue his good form for Nigeria against South Africa if selected.
