Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa to host Nigeria U23 AFCON qualifier clash against Sudan

Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa will host the second leg clash of the AFCON U23 qualifier between Nigeria and Sudan.

It was Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba which hosted the second leg clash between Nigeria and Libya but the 2nd leg of the third round qualifying round will be played at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

The first leg of the qualifiers will be played away from home in yet to be determined stadium on the 5th of June while the return leg will be played in Nigeria on 9th of June.

The U23s led by coach Imama Amapakabo will set up training camp in Yenagoa and thereafter play the qualifier against Sudan at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

It will be the first international match to be hosted at the arena, which has an artificial pitch.

The winners over the two legs will qualify for the U23 AFCON in Egypt later this year, which will also serve as a qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
