Schumacher´s manager calls for ´patience and support´

Michael Schumacher’s manager hopes “continued support and patience” for the stricken Formula One legend will enable him to “one day be back with us”.

Seven-time F1 world champion Schumacher suffered serious head injuries following a skiing accident in France in December 2013.

The 47-year-old was placed into a medically-induced coma, but was allowed home to continue his rehabilitation in September 2014.

Updates over Schumacher’s condition have been few and far between, but the German’s manager, Sabine Kehm, broke her silence at the opening of an exhibition of his career in the German town of Marburg.

“He is the most successful driver in history and sometimes, on days like this, it is good to be reminded of it.” Kehm said.

“Of course, Michael is not here and of course we miss him. We know what has happened and cannot change it.

“We must accept it and hope with everything we have that, with continued support and patience, he will one day be back with us.”
