Super Falcons Defender Glory Ogbonna joins Turkish Champions ALG Spor
Super Falcons Defender Glory Ogbonna has joined Turkish Women’s Super league Champions ALG Spor on a free transfer .
Ogbonna a member of the Super Falcons team to the 2022 WAFCON in Morroco returned from the competition a free agent following the expiration of her contract with Spanish side Santa Teresa In June 2022 .
After a successful medical , Glory Ogbonna Sportsration gathered put pen to paper on a One year contract with the Gazientep based club .
She will wear jersey number 5 at ALG Spor and is expected to make her debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League playoffs against Norwegian side Brann Kvinner on August 18 by 16:00hrs .
In her first interview as a ALG Spor player , former Ibom Angels Fc defender Glory Ogbonna told Nigerian Journalist Favour Itua of her desire to help ALG Spor remain Champions after winning it’s first league title last season .
Ogbonna said “I feel good to join the champions of Turkish women league, and I will also give out my best to them in order for them to continue being the champions that they are .”
ALG Spor will be boosted by the addition of the Nigerian international as they prepare for a maiden UEFA Women’s Champions League appearance .
