Super Falcons friendlies against USA not for results – Waldrum

Randy Waldrum has explained the reason Nigeria women national team are playing against USA ahead of second meeting.

The Americans defeated Nigeria 4-0 in the first friendly played in Kansas and while reacting to the defeat coach Waldrum explained the reason behind the games.

Nigeria will go again today against the world champions and Waldrum while talking in a video posted by NFF on Twitter said the outcome not the reason for the friendlies.

“When you play against World Champions you should expect them to create a lot of chances.

“They created a lot of challenges for us, everything we do is in preparation for the World Cup and we don’t care about the result

“But we focused more on our performance, how we play and also we look at some of our young players, especially the U20 players.

“They got their first call up and they did very well because they played against the best in the World.

“We hope we can improve our performance on Tuesday but the most important thing is that we focus on our young players and our performance”, he said
