Three issues delaying Osimhen move to Napoli as Liverpool, United said to be interested

Victor Osimhen move to Napoli could be further delayed according to reports from Italy.

It was widely reported that the Nigerian would undergo his medicals on Thursday and the deal announced on Friday but looks things are still for.

According to fress reports from France, and Italy the deal could be cut off by Napoli who might grow tired of the back and forth with Victor Osimhen and his agents.

Footballitalia says one of the issues delaying the deal is Victor Osimhen weekly wages. His new agents are demanding more money for their clients but the Italian clubs are not willing to pay more.

Napoli had already agreed €3.5-4m plus up to €2m in bonuses, whereas his latest representative promised to get €5m net per season along with add-ons.

The other issue mentioned by footballitalia is the issue of image rights which have not been resolved, and anyone with knowledge of Napoli transfer history will realise this is a sticking point that has tanked many a previous deal.

And lastly the the outlet quoted French magazine L’Equipe saying Lille will not receive anything less than €81m in cash as they turned down Napoli bid of money plus player exchange.

Footballitalia also said due to the slowdown in negotiations over his salary, Osimhen’s agent also reportedly approached several Premier League clubs to ask if they would like to make a counter-offer.

Il Mattino newspaper point to Manchester United, but Sportitalia and French sources maintain Liverpool are more interested.
