Tobi Amusan eyes improvement ahead of Diamond League final showdown with Jasmine Camacho-Quinn

Tobi Amusan has admitted that she needs to make adjustments ahead of her Diamond League final showdown with Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

The World and Commonwealth records holder alluded to this after her race at the ISTAF Berlin meet.

Tobi Amusan finished first in women’s 100m hurdles with a time of 12.45, ahead of  America’s Tia Jones (12.58), and Jamaica’s Megan Tapper (12.66).

While it was a comfortable win for Amusan on Sunday, the time was still below her season best and that of her closest competitor Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

Tokyo Olympics gold medal winner, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn clocked a time of 12.34s (-0.9) to beat Tobi Amusan who ran 12.45s at Lausanne Diamond League a few days back.

In this race Tobi Amusan started very late an played catch up throughout the race.

With both athletes and others set for the final showdown this Thursday Amusan has said she must work on this.

“I need to improve my start and finish. It is a little wobbly,” said Amusan.
