Top five fixtures involving Super Eagles players this weekend

Club football returns this weekend and as usual Super Eagles players would be involved in these games across Europe.

There are a lot of derbies to look out for this weekend. The Merseyside Derby, Old Firm Derby, Milan Derby and the Portuguese Classico.

For sure some Nigerians are involved in these games and a lot of other scintilating games in Europe’s top five leagues.

In this article, we would look into five games that would be involving a Nigerian players that you must not miss.

5. Sanusi Zaidu (Sporting CP v FC Porto)

Super Eagles left back Sanus Zaidu is expected to feature in this clash as the two of the biggest clubs in the Primeira Liga go head-to-head.

With the departure of Alex Telles, Sanusi Zaidu is expected to start at the at the left back for FC Porto.

Leon Balogun is expected to start at the back as Rangers travel to the Celtic Park for the 421st ‘Old Firm’ Derby clash.

The match will take place at 12:30pm.

3. Kevin Akpoguma (Hoffenheim vs Dortmund)

Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma would be in action as Hoffenheim host Borussia Dortmund at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday by 2:30pm.

Victor Osimhen has fired blank in his first two Serie A games would be out to open his goal scoring account on Saturday. The match will start by 2pm.

  1. Alex Iwobi (Everton v Liverpool)

The whole world would be watching this fixture and fortunately for us Super Eagles Alex Iwobi would be in action.

It is not just another Merseyside Derby but a clash between the most inform team in the Premier League and the Premier League reigning champions.

Liverpool travel to The Goodison Park for the lunchtime kick off on the back of their 7-2 bashing in the hands of Aston Villa.

Klopp boys would be out to seek redemption while Carlo Ancelotti and his boys would out to maintain their winning run.
