Victor Moses fails to save 9-man Fenerbahce against Kayserispor

Retired Super Eagles winger Victor Moses couldn’t help his side as their fight to avoid relegation suffers a huge dent with a loss in a Turkish Super Lig game on Friday.

Artem Kravets’87th minute strike gave Kayserispor a hard-fought 1-0 win against nine-man Fenerbahce at the Kadir Has Stadium.

After back-to-back wins since the signing of Victor Moses from Chelsea, it was supposed to be another good outing for Fener but after Roberto Soldado was sent off in the last minutes of the first half, the handwriting was on the wall.

Victor Moses who had started his previous games for Fenerbache from the bench was subbed on in the 46th minute for Mehmet Ekici.

Fenerbahce continued to hang on to the point despite losing their star striker in the first half but had no answer when Artem Kravets scored in the 87th minute.

The fightback was confirmed dead when Tolgay Arsla was sent off for his second bookable offence in the 90+ minutes of the game.

The defeat is the first Fenerbahce will be recording since Victor Moses joined the club having won their last two games.

Victor Moses has a goal in three league games he has played for Fenerbahce. He played 25 minute in Fenerbahce 3-2 win against Malatyaspor, 27 minutes in 2-0 win against Goztepe where he scored a beauty and the 45 minuteshe played yesterday.

The defeat meant a win for Ankaragucu, Goztepe, and Rizespor in their games today will send Fenerbahce back into relegation zone.
