​Bolaji Sakin Dreams National Team Duty, Eligible To Represent Three Countries

Conakry based Nigerian footballer Simeon Bolaji Sakin says nothing beats representing one’s fatherland at the national team level as a professional footballer, stressing that the joy that comes with it cannot be overemphasized.

The former Abia Warriors and Rivers United forward who currently plies his trade with Guinean Ligue 1 Outfit, Horoya Athletic Club is eligible to play for more than one country as stipulated by the rules of world soccer governing body FIFA.

He was born in Ivory Coast to Nigerian parents and currently based in Conakry, Guinea

Sakin who did not hide his desire to represent the Super Eagles in future when asked said ” I will love to play for Nigeria considering the fact that it is my fatherland, and the rich football culture at the national team level is worth it, but if it’s not happening anytime soon and Guinea wants me to play, I will”.

Despite seating out for close to three months due to injury which has restricted him to just 12 games in 22, the Striker has scored five times in the Guinean topflight division including a hattrick against CIK .

Horoya AC currently tops the Ligue 1 with 52 points, eleven more than Hafia FC after 22 round of matches and just four games to wrap things up.

The 25 year old Nigerian could win the Guinean league in his first season if results favours them in their next one or two games.

The Agoro Tchagodomou tutored side are also in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, they won their first game 2-1 against AS Togo Port and will subsequently battle Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in group C
