CAF names Moses and Balogun in 2018 World Cup qualifiers best XI
Super Eagles players, defender Leon Balogun and forward Victor Moses have been listed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), among the players who put up a distinctive display during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite one game left before the end of the qualifiers, Africa’s football governing body CAF released the list on its twitter handle @Caf_online on Thursday afternoon.
Defender Leon Balogun showed solid displays at the back for the Super Eagles, and kept at bay the attacking forays of Aboubakar Vincent of Cameroon and Riyad Mahrez of Algeria.
Victor Moses on his part gave a commanding display and scored three goals as he led the team to the 2018 world cup.
Balogun will be in action when Super Eagles honour the last group game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria, while Moses will not be available due to injury he sustained while playing for his club Chelsea against Crystal palace.
