​U-20 AFRICAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS: Nigeria, Morocco set for Rematch

Following Monday’s draw by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), either Nigeria or Morocco will not be present at the U-20 AYC in Niger Republic in 2019.
The Confederation of African Football revealed the draw for the qualifiers on Monday with the two giants who met at the CHAN finals earlier this month set for a rematch.
Morocco have been drawn against neighbors Mauritania in the first round with the winner to face Guinea in the second round.
While Paul Aigbogun’s Flying Eagles have received a bye to the second round and should be favorites against either Sierra Leone or Guinea Bissau , they’ve been placed on a collision course with CHAN winners Morocco in the third round.
Nigeria is the most successful nation in the U-20 AYC history having won the tournament a record 7 times while also emerging as runners up in two finals. They last clinched the title in 2015.
Niger Republic will be hosting the 15th edition of the U-20 AYC or the 22nd if tournaments without hosts are also considered.
Other fascinating first round ties includes a derby between Algeria and Tunisia with the winner set to face Ghana in the second round and the winner between Kenya and Rwanda will face current holders Zambia in the second round.
South Africa will face the winners of Seychelles vs Mozambique before meeting either Malawi, Swaziland or Angola in the third round.
Elsewhere, Senegal who were runner-up in 2017 and Egypt will meet in the second round after receiving byes with either Botswana , Namibia or Congo standing in their way in the third round.
First round first leg matches will take place on 30-31 March and April 1 with the second legs coming two weeks later.
Second round legs will be played a week apart in mid-May before the third round takes place in July.
The 7 third round winners will join hosts Niger Republic in the tournament scheduled to hold next
