11 goals in 17 appearances, Mfon Udoh season stats with Saif Sports Club
Former Akwa United Striker Mfon Udoh scored his 11th goal of the season as Saif Sports Club lost 2-3 to Mudtikodja on the final day of the Bangladesh Premier League season.
Udoh, joined Saif Sports Club after winning the 2020/2021 NPFL title with hometown club Akwa United Fc .
Mfon Udoh scored 11 goals and 9 assists in 17 appearances for Saif Sports Club in the Bangladesh Premier League season that ended on July 31 2022 .
The 30 year old striker finished the season as Saif Sports Club second top scorer and top assister with his 20 goal contribution (Goals + assist ) the highest in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Mfon Udoh is no stranger to banging goals having consistently banged goals in the Nigerian Professional Football League where he played for Akwa United Fc plus a goal laden stint at Enyimba International Fc.
Managed by 60 year old Diego Andreás Cruciani , Saif Sports Club finished the season with 37 to place third on the Bangladesh Premier League standing .
In a message on his verified Facebook page Mfon Udoh thanked God for a successful season and thanked everyone at Saif Sports Club Ltd .
His words ” Thank you Lord almighty for a successful season , words may fail me to really express how I feel but God has been faithful to me . Thank you to the entire Saif Sports Club Ltd . ” Mfon Udoh wrote .
Argentine manager Andreás Cruciani and Saif Sports Club may not have the services of the Nigerian goal poacher when the league resumes with rumours linking Udoh with a move away from the club.
Another Nigerian Striker Emeka Ogbugh was part of the Saif Sports Club team for the just concluded season. Ogbugh scored 12 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League season to finish as the clubs top scorer.
