Report: Bayern Munich to hijack Manchester United bound Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Bayern Munich have emerged as potential candidates to hijack Manchester United‘s seemingly imminent signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports.

The 34-year-old has been widely tipped to join the Red Devils on a free transfer to work under new manager Jose Mourinho, and is reportedly set to undergo a medical once back from Euro 2016 duty with Sweden.

According to German newspaper Bild, however, secret discussions have taken place between Ibrahimovic and Bayern, who may be looking for a replacement for Real Madrid target Robert Lewandowski.

New Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti has worked with Ibrahimovic at Paris Saint-Germain.
