2019 NCAA Tournament: Jordan Nwora’s double-double fails to save Louisville against Minnesota
D’Tigers forward Jordan Nwora was unable to save Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team against Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s basketball team at the Wells Fargo Arena on Thursday.
Jordan Nwora had 11 rebounds and 10 points for a double-double but was not enough as Louisville crashed out of the 2019 NCAA Tournament in first round after suffering an 86-76 loss to Minnesota in their clash.
Jordan Nwora led both teams in rebound with 11, went 2-for-4 from three and gave a dime but his effort was not enough to stop 7th seed Louisville from going down to 10th seed Minnesota.
The result is a step backward for Louisville who got to the quarterfinals in 2018 where they were knocked out by Virginia.
Jordan Nwora is expected to be part of the team when Nigeria jet out to China for 2019 FIBA World Cup this July.
