2022 NBA Playoffs: Boston Celtics sweep star-studded Nets, through to second round

Raptors defeat 76ers to force Game 6 as Doncic inspires Mavericks to win over Jazz

Boston Celtics became the first team to go through to the second round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs after they completed a 4-0 sweep of the Brooklyn Nets in their first round series following a 116-112 win in Game 4.

Jayson Tatum led the scoring for the Celtics with 29 points on the night, and Jaylen Brown contributed 22 points. Kevin Durant was finally able to play his game for the first time in the series, and he finished with 39 points for the Nets.

Toronto Raptors claimed a comfortable 103-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 of their 2022 NBA Playoffs to make the series 3-2 and force a sixth game.

Pascal Siakam led the scoring for the Raptors with 23 points, and Precious Achiuwa came off the bench to contribute 17 points in only 27 minutes of action. Newly-crowned Rookie of the Year, Scottie Barnes, finished with 12 points for the Raptors. Joel Embiid could only score 20 points for the 76ers in a subdued performance.

Dallas Mavericks took a 3-2 lead in their 2022 NBA Playoffs against Utah Jazz after a dominant 102-77 win in Game 5 of the series, inspired by the impressive Luka Doncic.

Doncic led the scoring for the Mavericks with a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson added 24 points for the side as they emerged with a crucial win that puts them on the front foot in the series.
