Grizzlies, Suns take decisive lead in Playoff series
Miami Heat booked their place in the second round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs after a 97-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of the series saw them take a 4-1 lead, securing the win in the best-of-seven series.
Despite injuries depleting their roster, Miami Heat in managed to finish off the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5. Vincent Oladipo led the scoring for the Heat with 23 points, and Bam Adebayo scored 20 points for the top-seeded side from the Eastern Conference. De’Andre Hunter scored 35 points for the Hawks, who will now bow out of the playoffs.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-109 to take Game 5 of their 2022 NBA Playoffs and claim a 3-2 lead in the series. Ja Morant finished with a double-double for the Grizzlies as he scored 30 points and 13 rebounds. Desmond Bane contributed 25 points for the Grizzlies, who are in control of the tie now.
Phoenix Suns held off a stubborn New Orleans Pelicans side to claim a 112-97 win and take a 3-2 lead in the 2022 NBA Playoffs. Mikal Bridges led the scoring for the Suns in the game with 31 points. Chris Paul contributed 22 points and DeAndre Ayton scored 19 points.
