Jabeur becomes first Arab woman to reach a Grand Slam semifinal
Top seed Novak Djokovic fought back from two sets down to defeat 20-year-old Jannik Sinner in their 2022 Wimbledon Quarterfinals meeting. The 35-year-old is on a quest to win his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title and found him self two sets down to the 10th seed before he won the final three sets to book his place in the last four. Djokovic won 5-7 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-2.
Ninth seed Cameron Norrie booked a meeting with Djokovic in the semi-final after he claimed a win over David Goffin in five sets in their quarterfinal meeting. Norrie won 3-6 7-5 2-6 6-3 7-5.
Ons Jabeur became the first Arab woman to qualify for the semi-final of a Grand Slam in tennis history after she defeated Marie Bouzkova in their quarterfinal meeting. The world number two recovered from a set down to book her place in the last four of the competition, claiming a 3-6 6-1 6-1 win.
Tatjana Maria qualified for her first Grand Slam semifinal after she defeated compatriot Jule Niemeier in three sets 4-6 6-2 7-5 in their quarterfinal encounter at the All England Club.
