2023 AFCON Draws: Nigeria get Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau
Nigeria have been drawn alongside 2023 AFCON hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau in Group A for Africa’s grandest football event.
The draw ceremony took place in Abidjan, the Ivorien Capital and had in attendance, former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi and other legendary African footballers.
Ivory Coast will host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which is scheduled to kick-off in January 2023.
Nigeria will face Guinea Bissau again, after already meeting each other in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
On paper, Ivory Coast and Nigeria will be favourites to progress from group A.
